| Targeted towards small and medium-sized retailers, NCR's
e-shopping service integrates a retailer's web presence with their
existing environment. This integration enables retailers to serve their
customers both online and through their stores, with one common system
for merchandising, customer service, and order management.
"The challenge facing retailers today is how to profitably
utilize the Internet to uniquely reflect their identity,'' said Thomas
Hertzberg, director of e-shopping services for NCR.
Through an alliance with InterWorld Corporation, NCR utilizes
InterWorld's "mission-ready" e-commerce software tools as the
backbone of the e-shopping service.
"The Internet is an established channel that retailers must
master,'' said Leon DeMaille, senior vice president of marketing,
InterWorld. "The combination of InterWorld's e-commerce tools along
with NCR's retail expertise and service delivery capabilities will help
retailers effectively leverage the Internet.''
