Retek has partnered with RetailExchange.com, (featured in the 2000-7 report on retail exchanges
from eRetailNews), to provide retail.com customers with access to off-price
product listed on the RetailExchange.com website. The RetailExchange
product will feature on retail.com as the retail.com Surplus Exchange, and will
be integrated with other retail.com services.
Through the Retek partnership, RetailExchange.com will
increase the number of qualified buyers and sellers using the
RetailExchange.com marketplace, helping increase overall transaction
flow. RetailExchange.com provides a wide spectrum of off-price consumer
products, while protecting existing customer brands and sales channels.
"Buyers and sellers want to minimize the complexity, cost and time
associated with managing their supply chain,'' said Kenneth S. Frieze,
CEO and President of RetailExchange.com. "Our partnership with Retek
adds trading partners to our current buyer and seller membership while
connecting them to retail.com's supply-chain services.''
