JCPenney.com Launches Web Sites for Petite and Tall Women

JCPenney.com has launched Just4MePetite.com and Just4MeTall.com, featuring JCPenney apparel for petite and tall women and incorporating "My Virtual Model" technology. Both sites allow women to create a 3-D model, reflecting their physical proportions, face shape, hairstyle and color, and skin tone.

Last year, JCPenney.com launched Just4MePlus.com for plus-sized women with "My Virtual Model". To date, traffic on the site has increased by more than 800 percent, and customers have created over 100,000 saved virtual models. In addition, plus-size merchandise sales online have increased more than 150 percent.

"We wanted all special-sized women to have the opportunity to access quality merchandise in a fun and innovative way,'' said Paul Pappajohn, who heads up JCPenney's e-commerce business. "With the petite and tall offerings, JCPenney is building on our loyal customer base of women who utilize the online shopping experience to express their own personal style.''

SIte highlights:

Mix and Match: Try different tops and bottoms on the virtual model to see which combination looks best.
Fashion Advice: Experts provide fashion goals that will enhance the personalized figure. Tailored advice from the type of lapels to jackets and jewelry to choose is also provided.
Suggested Outfits: Be advised of the outfits that are best-sized to flatter the personalized figure.
Rotate: View the virtual model from the front, profile or back to see how the outfit appears on the entire figure.
Size Information: Users can find out their specific size, by providing exact measurements of their height, bust, waist and hips. Advice on how to take effective measurements is also provided.
Search: Search for clothes available online according to the selected price and size range, and apparel category.

JCPenney.com is one of the only eRetailers to carry an entire catalog assortment online.
